I'm watching these three little dachshunds who are kind of a pain in the ass, but staying here is so worth it. The condo looks like a magazine spread, it's close to all the good bars and where I mostly work, and I was told to help myself to any of the food and alcohol.
...and there is a LOT of alcohol.
There's also this really awesome Bose surround sound stereo system and this laptop to keep me entertained. She doesn't care if I have friends over, and also, there's a cleaning lady who comes and cleans up after me.
I get paid really well to do this, too. I love this.

The beds here are kind of uncomfortable. Apparently this woman really likes hard mattresses, because I tried the other bed and it is also hard as a rock. ...but at least I'm sleeping on fine, imported linens. Ha.

He came back the night before I started housesitting.
He was cursing at his mother on the phone. I have no respect for people who are assholes to their moms. Especially if they are 28 years old and their moms are paying their rent for them.

I need a sweet Tux

It all started for me when I became a dog walker. Rich people with dogs go out of town a lot, and they'd, of course, rather their dogs stay home than be put in a kennel. The key is making sure they like you and can trust you. You also sometimes have to casually mention that you house-sit.

I really do need to move to a decent city. Sounds better than my current job and I <3 dogs, I have 4 of them.
Fuck you Albertson's and not giving me my damn raise.

I also get to bring MY dog with me.
This weekend I'm keeping three different peoples' dogs, but at my boss's house, since he'll be out of town. I'm going to be bankin' it.

Rich people don't have pet rats, so I think I'm all good.
If she did, I'd call it Socretes.
