what is the deal with jeremy? does he just do programming on the records? or does that mean that he makes the trippy sounds linda uses on her keyboards?

I've only seen them with one lineup. The first one.
...but, still.

jeremy does some sampling and triggers cedric's vocal effects.

I preferred the eva/ikey combination, only because they added more distinct character, more of a voice and distinction to the band... also I think this poll illustrates how most MV fans wish Eva hadn't left the band

I liked Eva. I didn't know who she was at the show, and I asked if she knew what time TMV was going on. Heh.
...but I like Ralph better.

Ralph was a dope guitarist but I never got to see him play bass. I'm hoping Ikey ends up playing on the whole record. That'd be my favorite lineup.

DE FACTO recently played a one-off show at L.A.'s Spaceland, unveiling a handful of new compositions that go to eleven on the ruffness scale. Keyboardist Ikey was in fine form, even guesting with GOGOGO AIRHEART as a warm-up. Ikey left THE MARS VOLTA but is still a member of DE FACTO - rumor is he will also be appearing on the upcoming MV album too, so who the fuck knows? In the meantime he has also been recording some interesting psychedelic hip hop stuff with various other people, under the moniker FREE MORAL AGENTS.

flea is just such an awesome bassist. but i dont think he should be in the band. jus tplay guest parts etc. that would be nice. so long as whoever they got to play bass, could play the parts live.
