The Les Savy Fav show last night was excellent. Among Tim's stage antics was: cutting holes in the black knit cap he had pulled over his face while wearing it, cutting his hair, cutting the hair of audience members, collecting said hair and lighting it on fire on top of the keyboard, and passing out cake to celebrate the guitarist's birthday (which we all thought he cut with the same knife as all the hair, but later he told me it was a different knife). Then he stuck the knife (one of the knives?) in the ceiling and somebody stole it. He was displeased.
They didn't do the two songs I like the best, but I knew most of 'em and we rocked out.
Mike - I got you a seven inch. I hope you don't have it yet (it says it's only available with issue 17 of a really horrible zine called "Chunklet" though, so I doubt you do). I asked Tim to write "Mike, You're so great." on it, but he wrote a short paragraph instead. He was neato. I gave him a hug.

It WAS fun. Nothing like a good rock show on a Tuesday night to aid in full exhaustion Wednesday morning.

Indeed, man I can't wait till I move out of Montana.
We do get Minus the Bear on the 20th though, that's going to rock hard since we're opening.

I can't wait till they come here(miami). Did they play new songs? And what merchandise did they have. If people on this board do not know who Les Savy Fav are then go find out....

They had all the albums, some 7-inches (I didn't get a good look, due to people who had already bought things still standing at the merch table, talking), and a t-shirt with a pretty lame design in either navy or powder blue. No stickers or buttons. Meh.

Oh yeah. And almost all of the songs they played were new or were on either Rome or Go Forth.
