Hey guys, I'd say this all came from the past experiences Mr. Sehki and I have had with trading the live music of The Smashing Pumpkins and Zwan. The SP/Zwan trading community has a lot of participation, not just from people that tape, but from people that freely trade the shows. So much trading has gone on there that it is now easy to get a high quality cdr of the vast majority of concerts put on by SP/Zwan. Our goal with The Mars Volta community is to build up a base of good quality shows so that it is easy for anyone to get ahold of some live Mars Volta. As of now, I've been trying for weeks to get some good, non-mp3 sourced Mars Volta added to my collection, but have had very little luck. So.... If anyone has some non-mp3 Mars Volta to trade out, let Sehki or me know (or trade it to whoever you want!)! Thanks! Brian webspace.utexas.edu/bdg64/bootlist.html

Now that you mention it, it does seem like a conspiracy. But, it's a good conspiracy! Brian

there's a bit of conspiracy. but we get to make the conspiracy for TMV, being the first ones. *wink wink* As I mentioned in my main post, Brian and I intend to tree out at least a show or two of the first high quality shows we get. A tree, for those of you not down with the lingo, is an organized way - that doesn't involve trading, per se - to get a popular show out. It'd help getting the community going, and would get some material out there.
