joining the shoutouts... this has got to be a joke... even the way it's written it can't be serious... just a question... If the USA really gave a fuck about the civilians, why do they use cluster bombs? (they also did in afghanistan)
also, my shoutouts to that iraqi minister of information... He's doing his best in a pretty fucked up situation... We got US tanks litterally in Saddam's backyard, and this guy still pretends and acts like the US troops are nowhere near baghdad... He's like an arab Danny deVito or something... Short and fat, yet inspiring ;P

Man, there is no need to resort to that. Why can't we share ideas without resorting to that? You have proven yourself to be very cynical and an paranoid. That is exactly what the communists/anti-Americans wnat you to be. I hope you are being facetious or sarcasic because that is truly scary. The mere thought of the Ameerican population lowing faith in the system makes me cringe. How could you suggest our own media lies to us? Get real. If you are "cringing" cause i dont have your "faith" you speak of, whos really the paranoid one? I don't dream in cursive. None of this really affects me at all. Get over yourself and continue being fed by mass media, they like it, you like it. it's perfect.

wait a minute, was triumph being sarcastic or not with that first post? it sure sounded like it, but the fact that people are talking about it for three pages makes me think he wasnt. the first speech of his was the ultimate conservative uptight media brainwashed perspective, to the extreme. i thought it was a joke. was it?

the U.S. troops. They are well on their way to liberating Iraq from that evil tyrrant. Finally, they will be free just like us. It really goes to show just how great democracy is. It always prevails. It truly a beautiful thing. But what really impresses me is the fact that we have been bombing the hell out of Iraq without harming the civilians. Technology is simply amazing isn't it? Think about how much research has gone into making those precision bombs. I think we are the only country out there with this technology. No other country would care to be as considerate as we are. Those missiles and bombs were made to save innocent people's lives. Any other country would just launch missiles witthout thinking twice about who it will kill. But not our forces. It really makes me proud to be an American. I watch the news all day and never can they say we are killing innocent people. Sure ther were a couple here and there. A classic case of wrong place at the wrong time. It's the price that has to be paid for freedom. I'm sure their families are proud. When we finally free the Iraquis I'm sure we will hear how much they appreciate our courage and altruism. That is going to be a beautiful day. I can't wait. what's all this about? are we at war or something?

Oh man, I am not being serious at all. I was making a comment by using irony and sarcasm. Like Andy Kaufman, not that it was anywhere or anything as brilliant as his work, I wanted to stay in character and getting people fired up. The other day CNN said something about a poll that indicated 80% of Americans are for the war. I couldn't believe it. I don't know anyone who is for the war. Anyone I have ever talked to about this was against it as well. Obviously, it is blatant propaganda or they must have polled some truly ignorrant bastards down in Capitol Hill. So then I started thinking about what kind of people would be for the war. That is what inspired me to post those messages. I also wanted to see if there were people who would agree. Obviously you are all very passionate in your opposition to the war which is very comforting to an extent. I'm going to find a conservative board to see how people react to my prior post. Anyway, while I was thinking about all this I started thinking about my friends' band. Their thing is about self-sacrifice, obsession, rejection, blind faith, etc. and how a missionary lifestyle has many similarities to being in a band and/or an artist. As I kept thinking about it I realized it could apply for a soldier or an over the top patriot. Their band is called The Mormons. That is why I put the links on, hoping someone would click them and see what I am talking about. If any of you live in L.A. you should come out to the 3 of Clubs tonight. they are playing for free. They are amazing live. They just got signed to some indie label and are going into the studio to record with Wally Gagel who has worked with Karate, The Eels, Sebadoh and Folk Implosion. You should check them out on my prior links or at www.themormonsband.com. Their whole concept makes a lot more sense during these times that, at least for me, are very confusing and depressing.

I'm sorry but i have to respond, you say you are looking for conservative points of view - well here is one. The war is the best thing we could have possibly done. It is sad that American lives must be sacrificed, but regardless of Bush's or any of the government's motives (because we will never really know what is truly behind the war), a ridiculously cruel, unjust, and insane ruler will be removed from power. Although i don't believe that whatever government we institute, after the war is over, will necessarily work out like we plan, I am 100% sure that it will provide at least some sort of increase in the general well being of the civilians. There is no middle class there like we have in America or Europe, the VAST majority live in poverty and have been brainwashed by a religion that has taught them that their religion is more important than their own lives and family. Don't you remember the religious wars of Europe in our textbooks? Do you really wish for those kinds of struggles and that mindset to consume more human life. I don't, and i believe that this war is a good starting point in the process of changing their pitiful state. I truly feel sorry for them and hope that this war can help them.
