hi i'm andrea and this is my first post. i was at the chicago show standing behind saul williams up on the balcony during the mars volta's set. i saw them in detroit two nights before and both shows were amazing and i wished i had bought tickets for a third. thanks to cedric and omar coming out after the show i was able to jump ahead in the coat check line because everyone rushed over to them. thanks guys! some guy behind me in line was talking about how they stayed at his place in st. louis when they played there awhile ago.... hmmmm. i went to the rhcp to see the mars volta more than to see the chili peppers. me and my brother got to the venue late and they had just started. no one in the place knew what was going on. we were the only people standing up for their set as far as i could tell. i guess some dumbasses in the crowd threw some stuff at them. i think cedric called them rednecks & flea told the crowd during the chili pepper's set that he loved everyone except the people responsible for throwing stuff at the mars volta. some people from one extreme to the other... i kinda liked the peppers crowd better at the moline show. they just kinda stood there. i take it you weren't at moline though, since cedric never called anyone rednecks at our show... but yeah... i think cedric was wrong when he told us that wasn't the best setting to see them at... meeting the band (not in a mad rush of people) was kinda better than the show itself back in moline... it wasn't fun having a fatass with his dick in my ass the whole time at the metro. i was going to kill him, i swear.

Were you by Saul before or after those people came over and made him and his friend move to the tables? You also must've been really near me after the show when you caught the guys. The stampede went down after Cedric came and hugged me (which I didn't expect and was sufficiently shocked), and I teased Omar about hanging out with metallica. If I could just have a repeat of that show every single night, I would be one happy girl.
