cedric is hopeful about a new de facto recording "very, very soon", though, and mentioned working on releasing the mario c sessions. mario c? i may sound foolish... but could someone elaborate on what that means. hahahha

they recorded some stuff with mario c (beastie boys), but when gran royal went bankrupt all that music was 'lost' to the government, or something like that.
cedric said it was different than other de facto stuff, less lo-fi.

i didnt see your post til after i got home anton, so i didnt know what you would be wearing. Otherwise I would have said hello, or at least bought ya a hot chocolate...damnit if SD isnt COLD!
I was the miserabley ill chubby guy (in a sea of skinny indie people I stand out as the only fat person in the room) with the blue Dickies jacket.
Speaking of weight, did you notice how much weight Ikey dropped!!!! GEZ! I was shocked and didnt believe it was him at first.
Best part of the show was the comedy in between songs. Cedric yelling out "RAIDERS!" repeatedly trying to get the crowd into the Superbowl spirit (if there is such a thing).
I'll watch the tape tonight and post a set list tomorrow or maybe late tonight. I'm still kinda miserable. I'll shoot you over some of the mpegs too.

cool cool. it's disgusting how fashionable that crowd was... and yeah, i was really surprised by ikey's weight too. he must've hung out with omar and cedric (who both got even skinnier than last time) too much.
and i was looking for chubby guys with a video camera, but didn't see any. i did however confuse at least 10 people with asking them if they were ernie...
and it wasn't too cold, not where i was sitting, and when i was standing i was dancing. who could be cold when dancing?

I would've been there, and we would've doctored up your ID, had I had any money whatsoever. If you have some acrylic paint and a really tiny brush, you can make any number look like any other number.

actually, i do have an id i found on the street, but it's for someone who's 27. and...i didn't want to get the casbah in trouble.
plus, if i hadn't been outside the whole time, i wouldn't have had as much time to talk to the guys. so it was all good.
plus i didn't have to pay =)

I would've also been happy dancing outside.
DeFacto saved my life. I will always stand by that story.
(short version: Megaton Shotblast calmed my nerves enough so I could tolerate driving in treacherous conditions in the middle of the night when I had pictured my car plummeting down the side of a mountain at every turn. Yes. Okay.)
