what tracks did they play? i'd have to watch the video again to figure it out. I know "Cordova" was in there for sure. And that really cool jam on Megaton Shotblast thats got that salsa-ish piano line. I'll post a setlist tonight when i get home from work.

best part of the night:
"this is what happens when you enter the dark world of heroin and homosexuality"
and when omar "played" one armed scissor

did omar, cedric or ikey say anything new about the new de facto or tmv records while you were talking to them anton. and the best de facto songs by far are fingertrap and rodche defects (tracks 4 & 10 on megaton shotblast)

it was all in good fun. someone yelled for one armed scissor and omar just kinda freaked out on the bass and played something that sounded as if he was trying to play his guitarpart on cosmonaut on the bass.
the heroin homosexuality thing was yelled by omar right before that (they had just finished cordova, if i remember correctly)
i sat and talked to ikey alone for about an hour (the first two bands weren't very good). he gave me a copy of "free moral agents", a hip hop project, in exchange for a copy of my movie. he told me he's playing on the mars volta record, but doesn't know if he'll be touring with them. then i talked to omar and cedric after the show, but it was really cool and laid back, i didn't really want to bother them with MV questions. cedric is hopeful about a new de facto recording "very, very soon", though, and mentioned working on releasing the mario c sessions.
i don't know what else to say really. they seem very different when they're playing de facto. i mean, they look different alone (cedric hair is long, omar's afro isn't as big, different glasses), but they're just so much more...relaxed, friendly. cedric was so apologetic when he found out i'd been sitting out there all night, but it was cool, the casbah staff opened the door so i could see everything (that mattered; omar's behind).
